May 8, 20224 yr By taking out the back row of seating on its A319 fleet, EasyJet said it will be able to fly with three cabin crew instead of four. That would limit numbers on board to a maximum 150 passengers. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-61370175
May 13, 20224 yr you reap what you sow. Why do you think easyJet and BA cant get crew with their contracts, yet Virgin and Qantas UK dont have issues with getting new crew with their contract/terms and conditions. Sure both Virgin and QCCUK are having problems with getting new candidates through training, but thats because both needing to use limted training rigs in both Crawley and BA TBC in Heathrow respectivly, its the contracts being offered which is the issue. May 18, 20224 yr in more news. they are still selling the 156 seats vs the 150 and thus overbooking by 6 seats each rotation on G regged 319s. im hearing from my old mates at ezy occ, they are cancelling 30-50 flights a day. my hunch is they will make a awful loss this summer, share price will tank and they will have a hostile take over from wizz or ryanair. Then the crews refusing to work 5 minutes into a day off will have balpa and unite taken away. Loose loose all around.
