June 2, 200719 yr hey all! i am a newbie here and i have a question.i am sure that u have seen the 2 fsx comparison screenshots, the first that shows FSX in Dx9 and the second showing FSX in DirectX10.so, if i install FSX in Vista (which includess DX10) , will i get the graphics that the 2nd screenshot shows?but the problem is, i really havent seen anyone playing FSX in DirectX10i am a little confused! help me out!for those that havent seen the screenshot that shows FSX in DX10, i have uploaded it for yaALSO,does anyone know what SP1 really does. i read about some "performance enhancements", but what exactly?

June 2, 200719 yr And the image you posted is NOT, repeat NOT, taken from a DX10-compliant FSX. It is an artists rendering. Guesswork only at this stage. There hasn't been a single genuine screenshot of FSX running under DX10 yet for the simple reason that the ACES team are still working on it!Allcott
June 2, 200719 yr Author DX10 is only compatable with Vista, but is not even out yet. It is in high beta and developers are currently using that beta to make the new DX10 games, but the open community will have to remain closed off until later. Once they release DX10, I expect a patch for FSX within 2-3 months. DX10 release has been pushed back a few times already, so don't expect them to rush it out the door. I guess they have had enuf headache from the FSX community about performance issues, they want them ironed out before release. Aaron
