May 28, 20224 yr Hi All! I haven't posted on here in quite some time, but I just thought I would jump on and see if anyone else was experiencing generally lower FPS in VR with MSFS recently. Just a week or two ago I fired up the sim and was experiencing faster performance in VR, with frame rates between 35 and 40 with medium high settings! It was amazing! Unfortunately yesterday I decided to start a flight and was disheartened to find that my FPS was now hovering around 15. Strangely my FPS in normal 2D mode is upwards of 45 to 50 after the recent updates! The only thing I've done recently is update MSFS to the latest version and also update the Open XR Tool Kit Companion to the latest, which is the incredible program that transformed my VR experience. I haven't done anything different with either my computer or with any settings. It took me weeks of researching and tweaking after getting my HP Reverb G2 v2 to get MSFS dialed in. It was working great with stable operation free of crashes and a mostly stutter free frame rate of around 35 in VR, which is really smooth! Thanks so much for any thoughts everyone might have. Happy flying! Some specs: AMD 3900x 12-core RTX 2060 Super 32gb RAM HP Reverb G2 v2 Windows 10

May 28, 20224 yr Author So here's an interesting update. I tried disabling "use latest preview Open XR runtime" and unchecked "Custom Render Scale" to disable Motion Reprojection in OpenXR Tools for Mixed Reality. I fired up the sim with my beautiful Flying Iron Spitfire in Hawaii and viola, I've never had such performance. Oddly the FPS counter was only reading 30, but the way it felt in the sim was as if I was running at 50 or 60 frames. Not a hint of stutter and faster movement in the view like I've never seen before. @V1ROTA7E HAGS? Not quite sure what that is. I went to the link, but I didn't quite understand what I was looking at. Thanks!
May 28, 20224 yr Take a look at the topic i posted, it explains it in there. HAGS = Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling. It's known to cause issues with the new version. A quick search will show you how to disable it. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT
