Logitech Radio panel works, but does not light up.

Featured Replies

In AAO with Saitek panels enabled, all 3 of my panels work: switch panel, multi panel, and radio panel. That is to say they do to the sim what they are supposed to do, such as changing the com frequencies for instance.

But the Radio panel does not light up the LEDs on the Logitech display.

If I use Spad.next then the Radio panel works in the sim correctly, just like if I use AAO. But the radio panel also lights up it's LED's using Spad.next.

Is there a way to force the radio panel to light up in AAO?

Thank you.

What I've been doing in the past, is using AAO for the multi and switch panel, and Spad.next for the radio panel.

Have you identified the panels in Control Panel, Device Manager, HID (Human Interface Devices), checked Properties, and disabled Windows Advanced Power Management?  Saitek panels have always had issues with Windows APM since Windows.  There are also apps that modify Windows Registry values for power management related settings for Saitek devices.  Do a web search for Saitek Logitech Windows Registry Power Management and hopefully you will come up with one of those apps.  The Control Panel maneuvers mentioned above must be done manually.

I had this type of issue with the Saitek Multipanel from 2015 until 2018 until I stumbled upon it.  At that time I first learned of it on the Spad.Next web site, and one of the registry patches I refer to was posted there.

LOL, it didn't take you very long to cure my long term problem. Yes one of the zillions of pesky HID's had the box checked allow Windows to cut off the power. I unchecked it and now the radio panel lights up properly.

Million thanks!

Look for one of the mentioned Registry patches or you might encounter the issue in the middle of a flight as opposed to right away after boot.  I may be able to pull one from an old HD, but please do a web search first.
