I have watched all the Cold And dark Startup Videos, taken notes and drafted my own Checklists. From the moment I choose the Panel state for Cold and Dark and on battery startup I get a continuous non-stop warning:"Buzz" sound. Watching the Tutorial videos I do not hear this on Battery startup. I am obviously doing something wrong. Am I missing a step in the Cold and Dark state?

Not sure what you mean by "buzz", but you will hear the battery if you turn it on and have not yet turned on external power or APU power. So battery on -> standby power closed -> ext/APU power on is basically all you have to do in cold&dark to get power.

You might be referring to the sound of the analogue standby altimeter which vibrates to keep it from sticking. Try switching to the IFSD under aircraft options in the FMC.

Thanks for the reply, I found the problem. Silly mistake, my throttle was moved by accident  above the "Idle".
