Did you use google scenery?

Uncle Bert is spot on.

If at any point you have had the google scenery mod installed....

Locate and open the your Windows hosts file @ C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc in a text editor like Notepad. Look for the following two lines, and delete them:

127.0.0.1 kh.ssl.ak.tiles.virtualearth.net
127.0.0.1 khstorelive.azureedge.net

Save the file.  You should now be able to load the sim.  Re-installing the sim won't fix the issue and wasn't necessary.

Hope it helps.
