Resetting FS2Crew

Perhaps someone can help me.

I am new to fs2crew and q400. Trying to practice my sid departures to get better.  What I try to do is …  fly a sid, pause the flight when done, then relocate aircraft to runway threshold to practice the SID again. Q400 seems to accept this trick without issues. FS2crew does not seem to like it. When I takeoff a second time, it will do the before takeoff checklist, respond to « check power » but not call any speeds, not even respond to « gear up ». If I do a circuit and land the aircraft instead of just warping back to runway threshold then I have the same issue. I do use the arrows to cycle the phases of the flight and bring it back to « before takeoff » and perform the  « before takeoff checklist ».

maybe I am doing something obviously incorrect, or maybe there is a workaround to reset fs2crew.

i could reset the entire flight and reload the vehicle, that would require reprogramming FMS, v speeds., running additional  checklist items, etc…

Thanks for the quick reply. I have been using the P3D pull down  to « go to airport » and then selected the runway threshold or a nearby parking. I have also tried to turn downwind after the SID and land on the same runway, with the same issue. You gave me a good hint with the concept of « trigger points ». If I want to make a short flight back to runway threshold, I would have to make sure to complete all phases of the flight rather than just advancing the « phase of flight » with the arrows on the fs2crew interface.

If you're starting "fresh" (brand new load of the aircraft), then you can use the 'arrows' to start at your desired spot in FS2Crew.

However, if you take off then you "reset / reload" the flight, that can induce issues.

As mentioned, with complex addons, you want to load them as 'cleanly' as possible.
