July 10, 20223 yr Greetings, I am undecided between the L35 by FSW and the same Learjet 35 by Xtreme Projects. I like the FMS Expansion Pack in the FSW's model (no need to purchase a separate GTN and you get a nice FMS) but the VC's graphics in the Xtreme Projects' model look more polished and modern. For those who have knowledge of both, which one is the better choice, aside from the FMS and the graphics? I am running P3d v5.3, in case this makes a difference (FYI. . .I am aware that in P3d v5.3 the radar does not work, I believe, in either model, courtesy of Lockheed Martin and its EA). Thanks guys.
July 10, 20223 yr Moderator @Mart2020, it’s Xtreme Prototypes, not Xtreme Projects 😉 I have incorporated a freeware radar gauge from Roland. July 10, 20223 yr Author Thank you both! @ Ray Proudfoot: In the early hours of the morning, 'Prototypes' turned into 'Projects' - lol. Thanks for the additional information on the freeware radar gauge from Roland. This is an awesome forum!
July 11, 20223 yr I've had both, albeit the XP LJ25 for FSX a while back. For P3D, I went for the FSX LJ35, mostly because I wanted a 35. While it isn't as visually convincing as the XP variant, it works very well - as did the XP LJ25. Be aware that the FSW FMC expansion adds considerable CPU utilization (additional 10 %), at least in my case. So, in my opinion both products can be recommended, and it comes down to one's personal preference. Best regards, Dimitrios 9950X3D - 64 GB - RX 7900 XTX - TrackIR - Power-LC M39 WQHD - Honeycomb Alpha yoke, Saitek pedals & throttles in a crummy home-cockpit - MSFS for props, P3D for jets
July 11, 20223 yr Author Hi Tsakiris, thank you for your input, including the caveat re the FSW's custom FMC! I looked at both FSW's LJ35 and XPs' LJ25 in detail over the week-end and I it appears that the XPs' newer L25 model (Version 3) was updated to fix Prepar3D v5 - Hotfix 1 and Hotfix 2, while I am running v5.3. I asked them for clarifications and am waiting to hear back. Do you know if the XPs' LJ25 is fully compatible with with P3d v5.3?

The lights have a disproportionately negative impact on fps. As a consequence I’ve had to turn off landing, taxi and strobe lights to prevent fps from plummeting whilst on the ground. As soon as the wheels leave the runway the fps recovers. I’ve reported this to XP but because they don’t run in 4K don’t see it. The other negative is switch settings aren’t saved when you save a flight. But to offset that there is an area you can click to bring the aircraft from C&D to ready to taxi. Ray (Cheshire, England).
