Setting Default Aircraft For AI.

Featured Replies

So, I have several airports with ANG areas and P3D has a number of default military aircraft. Specifically, I use KMDT often, my local international which also houses the PAANG 193. They operate C130H? models (the propaganda broadcast C130s). I would love to learn how to inject the default C130 into the AI selection and possibly see Hercies at the ANG end of the field. Can anyone give me any guidance? Thanks

Good day

Check out MAIW and not worry about default garbage AI.

I could never figure out how to make MAIW work. And now I have Ultimate Traffic since a year and a half. Which doesn't have any military traffic abd is no longer in developement.

I am using the Orbx Global Airports freeware. I did locate the BGL file and reassign the parking codes in ADE. I also extended the GA ramps at the North End using real world maps. The Orbx rendition had GA parking South on the ANG Ramp. Restricted. Obviously the designer didn't know that is a military ramp. I used ADE to change the parking.

Gary, since you can use ADE better than I can, then you certainly also can figure MAIW out. And for civilian AI, go to AIG.

Jorgen

A simple drag and drop 2 folders is all it takes. One for the aircraft and the other for the traffic bgl.

I downloaded the MAIW package you linked. I installed as per  the file structure. Now, the KMDT I use it the basic scenery that is included in the Orbx Global Airports Freeware. I did alter the AFCAD to more accuratly refect what I know of HIA. The AND ramp as per the Orbx package was GA. I relocated GA Parking to the North hangers where the FBOs are located in real life and in that spot were the ANG ramp is I set 4 MIL Cargo parking areas. I went into the C130 AI Aircraft.cfg to verify they have military parking codes. I couldn't find the entry for parking code. Isn't that data to be in the aircraft.cfg or am I mistaken?

The aircraft.cfg for those C130's in the download include

atc_parking_types=MIL_CARGO
atc_parking_codes=130J
  so as long as you have an adequate number of Mil_cargo at 19-20m setup you should be good to go.

Okay. I just couldn't locate those lines. Thanks
