Milton Shupe and Dash7 request

Featured Replies

Hello Milton et al,Thanks so much for reviving and finishing the Dash7 VC model you were working on. Unfortunately, I don't currently have FS9 working on this computer, so I haven't been able to test it out yet. But the images show that this release matches the quality of all the other releases you have made, which are all installed on my computers. Is there any chance that you'll upgrade the FS98 gauges in the plane to FS2000 or later style gauges so the plane can be installed in FSX? I was hoping to email this request, but I couldn't find your email. I hope your retirement is going well. Thanks,Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

There's already a fix for that on Sim_Outhouse.

Although we did not develop this for FSX, there is a panel gauge update that eliminates the FS98 error message. I will upload here tonight.EDIT: I just uploaded the update for the panel and gauges.

Could someone please let me know what "Sim_Outhouse" is and if a particular web site I hope its OK to mention that here as I appreciate all the valuable help thats made avalible here at AVSIM. http://www.sim-outhouse.com - a very good site dedicated mostly to warbirds, but covering a wide variety of aircraft, and a popular hangout for several excellent aircraft designers. My favorite sites to hang out and search for downloads arewww.avsim.comwww.simviation.comwww.sim-outhouse.comwww.flightsim.comIf I were to hazard a guess; combined, these 4 sites have probably 85% or more of all downloads available for FS.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

Milton,Please develop this Dash 7 for FSX. I'd jump on that plane in a heartbeat....even as payware. A great plane to look at, fly, and really enjoy. Stan

Many thanks Milton for your excellent work in the past. Once again many thanks for the Dash7 (fantastic to begin with) and it's new vc.cheers,

Hi,The Dash 7 seems to work great in FSX as far as I can tell (I have zero experience flying the real thing). The interior looks beautiful and will take me a lonnggg time to explore.I downloaded d7vcmdla_update_2.zip from sim-outhouse.com (I still don't see it here in the library at Avsim nor is the new version or update up at www.flightsimonline.com yet) and installed the new gauges and panel.cfg file to update the aircraft for FSX. I'll add some cameras and other FSX specific stuff later. The only issue now is that the new panel.cfg still calls out one of the FS98 gauges, the file Dash7_radio_stackG.gau (apparently built from the lear45.gau file?). Is this gauge still needed? Should I just remove the entries from the panel.cfg file? The radio looks like it works fine, I don't know what the purpose of that gauge file was. Thanks so much Milton!Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

Hi Thomas...It's ok to delete the file Dash7_radio_stackG.gau. It is not needed.Worked for me and no more FS 98 gauge notifications!Happy Flying... :-)

Milton,I do not see the update on Avsim for the Dash 7 yet. I enjoyed this plane in FS9 very much and would like to fly it again in FSX. I down loaded most of your previous planes and they were all special. Thanks for the time and effort you and everyone else involved put into making them. I hope you can find the time to rework some more of them for FSX.Bill

Well, I know the plane works without it, I'm just wondering if any functionality is missing if it's not there. It seems to me that you are right though, as the radios in VC and radio stack seems to work as expected. I imagine the lines were left in the panel.cfg by mistake.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
