June 24, 200718 yr I've been having a problem since SP1 with the Airspeed indicators dropping to zero during autoflight...the result being that when the autopilot speed is set, the aircraft attempts to keep thrusting to meet the set speed, but of course, since the ASI is at zero and is stuck there...well, you see what I mean...this has happened now on every aircraft 747, 737, A321 and CRJ and on every flight that I've tried...I just executed a clean uninstall and reinstall and the problem persists...Any ideas?Thankshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174255.jpg
June 24, 200718 yr Could be pitot tube icing. Turn on pitot heat and see if that eliminates the problem. If it's already on, then I'm at a loss for ideas.Ian.

June 25, 200718 yr It's the icing "feature" in FS. Problem is, the pitot heat doesn't always eliminate the problem. I'm not sure if the default planes work okay this way, but I know several add-ons in FS9 didn't seem to correct the pitot heat issue. Active Sky allowed users to disable the icing since it's unrealistic anyhow.
