XP-12 Field of view causing blurry cockpit instruments

Featured Replies

All of my cockpits were extremely blurry because when the sim was installed, it defaulted my monitor to an 80 degree field of view.  I run at 1920 x 1080 and set my field of view on the graphics screen in X-plane to 65 degrees and all is well again!  Especially after hitting Shift-9.  Adjusting no graphics setting with the sliders in X-plane 12 or making changes to nvidia control panel settings would fix the blurries.  Hope this helps!!

65 degrees?  I have a 27 inch monitor, sitting 25 inches from it and my correct FOV is 48 degrees!

Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

The field of view should have no effect on the cockpit blur.
So it's an XP12 bug to report.

FOV will not affect how textures are displayed. Setting Texture Quality to anything below 'Maximum', setting 'Antialiasing' to FXAA or setting Rendering Resolution (FSR Supersampling) to anything below 'Off' WILL cause blurry cockpit textures, especially on the GNS 530 screens.

Just make sure the resolution of the sim matches the monitor one

Somehow the updates downgrades the resolution
