September 19, 20223 yr You will not see a shower like that this year. The meteor storms in 1833 and 1966 occurred when the progenitor comet (55P/Tempel-Tuttle) passed through perihelion (closest approach to the Sun), although ironically they were caused by dust particles ejected from the comet in 1800 and 1899 respectively. The last perihelion passage of the comet was in 1998, and the next one is in 2031.
