September 21, 20223 yr So the clouds need some work, no argument from me, BUT.... I started a flight near Geneva in blue skies and sunshine. I flew east towards the mountains. I checked metars that showed low clouds and rain in the mountains, gradually clearing to the east. I'm in a simulator, so lets go into the weather! The first video shows me after passing through the rain. The cloud base was lifting so I had started a climb. The clouds were spot on as was the lighting. the second video was further to the east. You can see lower cloud behind the aircraft, but ahead the cloud base was rising to a high overcast. Further ahead there is an even higher overcast to a clear sky! The scale of the landscape is impressive in XP-12/ CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090 Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440 Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD External Storage Three 4Tb HDs
September 21, 20223 yr These video's really show how XP has upped their game with regards to WX . I did a local flight around my area and the WX was spot on .

September 21, 20223 yr Indeed ! I was about to post some exclamation like the OP did after last night I did a LPFR ( Faro ) - Lisboa ( LPPT ) Toliss A319 short hop, with the developing stormy weather. The whole experience, from the ground at LPFR to the gate at LPPT was simply delightful. The sky rendering looks, in some aspects, more realistic to me than the post SU7 clouds in MFS, although MFS has some great weather graphics OFC, but above all I really like the physic effects of this weather. Lighting effects are also great. Cities look just a bit obscured to me, compared to RL night flying. I am using SimHeaven and won't go back ! Performance was great ! Loving, and starting to really inhale the true Spirit of XP in this new version 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
