October 14, 20223 yr Performance numbers are low for the 4080 12GB and 16GB ... lower than 3090 in some cases. DLSS 3.0 seems to be a requirement in order to see higher FPS than 3000's series. If you want to see a significant increase in performance and timeframe consistency, the 4090 seems to be the best option currently. DLSS (all versions) are strategies (down samples) to improve FPS but at lower image quality. Pending your monitor/TV physical size and resolution and your distance from the monitor/TV DLSS will be more or less noticeable in terms of image quality.
