Debate on whether this actuually from an earlier crash in june from hitting power lines.

Shot down, how? I don't know anything about the subject but I assume a missile would have caused an explosion, which I couldn't hear. Would gunfire have made an audible impact?

I may be talking nonsense, but maybe he heard the tone of an impending missile  impact so ejected.

I replayed at a slower speed and, at 0.05, you can briefly see flames where the missile struck.
