Multiplayer question

Featured Replies

Hi.

I usually fly alone or sometimes with a friend or two in group multiplayer and we talk using Discord. I was thinking about trying the "All players" option instead of the "Off/Group only" in a remote place like the French Polynesia (because I hate having the screen full with player labels) just to check it out. If I happen to see another pilot there and want to talk to him how do I do it?

Thanks.

You don't. It's a pre-arranged thing. either discord (yeuch!) or Teamspeak (yay!) Other than that check out 'mugs tinyplates' which allows you to turn off and on names at will.

There's now a new option to bind "Toggle Nameplates" or similar. Been waaaay too long in coming, IMO.

What would also be neat would be if everyone could tune a freq, say 127.0 or whatever and talk to other pilots within, say, 50 miles.

That is, of course, if one is not utilizing the awesome functionality of Discord (yay!) or TeamSpeak (I haven't tried the new interface since I left TS3 behind back in 2018.)

Òr go VATSIM and then the UNICOM frequency?

I didn't know that. Must take a look.

EDIT: Nice one! As you say, not before time. It's in Controls\Keyboard\Miscellaneous
