November 15, 20223 yr I've been running into a few issues lately with the Fenix and wanted to know if anyone else has this or if this could be a cause. None of these issues have occurred on Vatsim. On my last few flights (before and after the update), I have gotten the autopilot automatically disconnected and I cannot reconnect. Today I was flying into MDW and around 6000 feet on the STAR, I wanted to go into selected speed (I was at 250 kts managed and wanted 220). I went into selected and could hear the engines spooling down and saw it on N1, but the speed stayed at 250 on the PFD. The orange bar came up to 250 and at that point my AP kicked off and no matter what I did I couldn't reengage it. I had wing anti ice on because there were conditions that needed anti ice but I got an ice not detected message. Not sure if icing had something to do with that. The only other thing I can think of is I hit ESC to pause the sim and to look at a setting and let it pause for a few minutes. Does Fenix not like when you go out of the sim for a while? Those are the only things I can think of. On a flight into BOI with bad weather, same thing happened but this time on final. I just thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone has experienced this. Each time it seems as though there is icy weather and or I went into the menus for a few minutes. Thanks! You can't have icing on with the Fenix. It does terrible things, so turn icing off in MSFS..

I thought I had that turned off but it looks like it was switched back on. Any other "must do" settings that i should go back and check? I didn't know that there was a pause in the MCDU. I appreciate it! I didn't know the icing problem on the Fenix, and my A320 did terrible things. How come this study level airplane is not able to manage the icing? The devs say that it's Asobo's fault, but I know that other airplanes can manage it and an airplane without icing in winter is missing an important realism feature. Also, I see that the icing is much improved in FS20, but the Fenix A320 turns crazy. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
