I tried the latest version as well as the latest beta version and I can't get the drop-down box to show up that gives you the choices between street maps topo maps ,Google maps etc.

I found that from the menus but used to have it hanging just below the toolbar icons at the top of the map.

Using LNM with MSFS 2020 and currently the PMDG 737-700 on Windows PC

Just wanted to kindly suggest as far as possible that LNM keeps its interface without too many changes between different versions to avoid time-consuming tasks related to finding out the new button or menu locations, etc.

That makes life easier for the users in general, considering the exponentially increasing number of add-ons/mods for MSFS alone.

Just a suggestion...

Cheers, Ed

Well. No change, no improvement. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: To not sound too harsh: I try to keep things as they are but this change was really needed. The big blocky buttons occupied a too large space in the toolbar. And some context menus were really illogical having rarely used functions at the top and partially in different order in the menus.

By the way, I'm sorry I forgot to mention, but thanks so much for the most recent LNM beta update!.

To me LNM is not only the best existing freeware flight planning utility for MSFS and P3D (I'm not a X-Plane user), but the best existing flight planning utility for MSFS and P3D out there.

Yes, the blue-globe button works well without taking up map real estate.  I'm also finding that exporting a plan to MSFS format from LNM is working well.  I have been getting some 737-700 flights start on the runway in odd configuration but that is not due to using a LNM "pln" file.  For example, MSFS starts you on the runway with gear down but gear lever in the up position  🙂

Best solution would be a toolbar editor. A lot of programs provide this functionality. I'm really tempted to add this.🙃
