November 22, 20223 yr I fly the Baron twin and did a short flight today when 1 engine started to sound funny and wouldn't power properly. I thought maybe every so many flights they throw you a curve ball to to make it interesting..?? but I didn't set anything different in the settings menus...do you know anything about this??or did something get knocked out of whack on the panel..??I rebooted and its ok now..
November 22, 20223 yr Select Baron in aircraft menu, press "Failures" button at the bottom, check if "Set mean time between failures" is checked. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

Maybe you have the "Mean time between failures" enabled. Something that real pilots can't turn off! It's one of those features that makes flying in X-Plane especially realistic. November 23, 20223 yr Author I did manage to get to a runway with 1 engine but in my over stressed condition( I wondered if my installation of X was screwed up somehow) I forgot to lower the gear so I belly flopped up and the plane was destroyed. But I was neatly on the grass next to the runway in a convenient and quiet spot for emergency personnel to collect my plane and body. "and back to dust ye shall go".
