December 12, 20223 yr Could not find any information about this. Is the new default beaver using the new CFD simulation?
December 12, 20223 yr The flight_model.cfg file is unencrypted so I checked it. Does not appear to be using CFD. My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
December 12, 20223 yr Author Thanks, btw, what in the model.cfg do I look for if I want to check other planes. So I dont have to come here and ask evertime:p

So I dont have to come here and ask evertime:p Look for parameters starting with "CFD" in the [AERODYNAMICS] section.. see https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Content_Configuration/SimObjects/Aircraft_SimO/flight_model/aerodynamics.htm Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
December 12, 20223 yr Without making too long a post....if an aircraft has a visible "flight_model.cfg" file, you can always open the file with a txt editor and check. A lot of the DLC (if not all) aircraft you purchase from the MS Marketplace have an encrypted "flight_model.cfg" file and it will not be visible. If an aircraft has a visible "flight_model.cfg" file, open it with a txt editor and check the "[aerodynamics]" section. If CFD enabled, there will be entries similar to this: [AERODYNAMICS] CFD_EnableSimulation = 1 CFD_ReinjectRotors = 1 CFD_ReinjectVTailX = 1 CFD_ReinjectHTailY = 1 CFD_ReinjectBody = 1 CFD_AirViscosity = 0.05 CFD_AirInCompressibility = 1.00 CFD_VoxelSizeScale = 0.85 CFD_VoxelNbVoxels = 5 CFD_GroundCollisionVoxelOffset = 0 Edited December 12, 20223 yr by hs118 My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
