Xplane 12 scenery update

I have had a full install of xp12 since it was launched. I updated it today and when I picked update scenery it is downloading 54 Gb . Why would it download pretty much all of it when it should be installed?

Re-cut scenery.  It's likely a whole new scenery model...or several of them

Just ran the scenery updater, didn't have anything to update
