January 9, 20233 yr I can't seem to find any pattern to this and can't remember when it started but I would say 8/10 flights at about 1500 AGL (from various airports small and large) I experience a complete sim freeze for anywhere between 20 - 30 secs. When flying on VATSIM, I appear to drop off the radar. I have a modest rig running low-med settings, this could be performance related but it's not always done it and it's an almost repeatable issue. January 9, 20233 yr I suspect something is goofing with your RAM. Have you added any new programs recently? Perhaps pare back a few things like AIG or other AI airliner addons, maybe pull everything out of your community folder and stay off Vatsim and test that the problem still exists. If not, then just try Vatsim without any add ons (not a Vatsim guy so not sure what addons may be needed there). But in any case just add things back until the problem reoccurs and then you're in the ball park for identifying the cause of the issue. If doing all this doesn't fix the issue it might be related to the graphics card temperature or connection to the motherboard or motherboard memory. Thermal and vibration creep can slowly bring a pin connection to a point where a pin may disconnect when the temps warm up as the card works harder causing data loss. Reseating the video card and the motherboard memory usually fixes these sort of feezes and BSOD''s. You may want to give others here some more information like FPS before the freeze, and your system specs to help them, help you with a solution. I know, nobody ever changed something (which includes me) but suddenly one remembers a seemingly tiny addon or mod added, driver changed or setting amended. January 10, 20233 yr When I depart EGLL (Heathrow) I always experience a 'freeze' of about 20 seconds at about 11000ft altitude. Otherwise I have smooth flights. I just accept this now. This is with the FBW A320, which is the only aircraft I fly.
January 10, 20233 yr Strip back sim to basics then slowly add to it. I don't use anything extra except 3rd party airports and liveries never had a CTD.
