August 9, 200718 yr With the PMDG B73NG for FSX being some time away, does anyone have a good suggestion for a freeware/payware NG? More emphasis on the panel than the exterior model.Thanks- Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
August 9, 200718 yr These 737's from Ariane look great, but I really don't know much else about them. I am really tempted to give them a go.http://www.arianedesign.com/catalogue.asp -Scotty
August 9, 200718 yr The Arianes available at the moment are not compatible with FSX.Also contain some bugs which I hope will be fixed with the new versions.I've heard that release date for the FSX-versions is about 4 months away.
August 9, 200718 yr Do a search on "Ariane" in the forums here and come to your own conclusion. And while you're at it, check out this link:http://www.arianedesign.com/dept.asp?dept_id=2033:)Pat
August 9, 200718 yr Nice looking website but I would like comments about the software from people who currently have the PMDG NG's. Nice designs but does it have the functionality that we should expect from a systems point of view?jack
August 9, 200718 yr Yep, after further review i'll pass on it. :D Sure looked good though. After doing a forum search, I have seen mostly negative comments about this heavy. I'll wait for the PMDG 737NG. -Scotty
August 10, 200718 yr The PMDG looks like it's going to be a while. If you're looking at a mid-range jet, the Russian team at Airsimmer looks like it's about to release what looks like a very promising Airbus A319/320/321.Given that SamDim design is involved (great freeware) and if you read some of the team's bios, this may be what fills the gap in a complex mid-range add-on until the NGX is out...http://www.airsimmer.com/products.htm
August 10, 200718 yr If you're willing to compromise a bit, http://wwww.wilcopub.com has a 737-300/400/500 that's pretty good. It's not NG, but it fills the gap until PMDG has theirs out. From what I've read in the PMDG forums, I don't think you can expect the 737NG anytime soon (2008 sometime). It seems like they're going to work on the 747, then the MD11, and finally get to the 737.
August 10, 200718 yr Thanks for all the helpful replies, especially those cautionary ones (note taken, thanks). And thanks also for the reference to the WP B73 classic, I already have this and agree that it's a nice model and well done.Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
