Like this very old video which came to Youtube 16 years ago!

 

But a new expensive one made by Wolfgang Weichselbaumer of Vienna allows him much better to reverse back crank like this new video from 4 days ago.

 

He graduated from Moscow Gnessin Music College and then on to the Gnessin Academy of Music. But what he has loved later in life is wandering around rural ethnic regions to capture traditional tunes hardly known outside the local territory.

I agree, I like the old one too. Reminds me of bagpipes. LOL another "irritating" instrument. You like 'em, or hate 'em.

That is a very apt comparison, Sue. I noted that it utilities "drone strings" as a base for the melody. Who knew?
