Distance to Destination & Cessna Longitude Takeoff.

Featured Replies

Dear:

1. How do I know my remaining distance to destination in the default TBM 930 and Cessna Longitude?

2. How do I set takeoff thrust in Cessna Longitude using autothrottle?

Regards,

Haseen Ahmad.

1. It should show on the MFD on the map in the lower part, if not by default then there's some flight plan setting in the map settings (where you can choose "leg-leg" and "cum").

2. Arm AT, push your throttle all the way forward. AT will switch to CLB power automatically once flaps are up.

1/ You can set an MFD field to tell you distance to destination (plus one for time to destination) - I do that on pretty much any aircraft using the G5000/G3000/G1000.

2/ As above, although you also need to select VS or FLC to go into CLB .. ..

Dear Gazzareth, Fiorentoni:

1. Remaining distance to destination: I went to GTC Map settings, inset, show inset on MFD, selected cum instead of Leg-Leg. Now I can see cumulative distances of the next two waypoints. But the distance to destinstion airport still not visible. Any tip please?

You can change to "cum" which means cumulative and then scroll down in the flight plan menu. The on-map flight plan will also scroll down and show the dist to destination. Otherwise do as Gazza said, change the fields up in the GTC to whatever you like, including enroute distance etc.. It will save for your next flights so you only have to do it once. It's buried somewhere in the tools / avionics settings in the GTC.
