February 13, 20233 yr I am wondering if the price difference worth it or it is recommended to get the OC variant instead of the normal Strix 4090. Usually I do a little overclock myself and my actual Evga 3080 Ti FTW3 is running with OC but with undervoltage now. February 14, 20233 yr From what I’ve read these cards are so powerful that the performance increases from overclocking will be negligible. February 18, 20233 yr No, the OC version is not worth it. In fact, the difference between a TUF and Strix isn't worth it. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
February 19, 20233 yr For my 4080 I bought the most basic/cheapest one I could find, from what limited info I could find the differences were somewhere between negligible and none-existent. February 26, 20233 yr Author I think so too, thanks for the feedback guys. I have read also that they are enough powerful and OC is marginal. I agree, for my son I have bought the TUF 4070TI, yes, no big difference with the Strix. Valentin Rusu AMD Ryzen 9950X3D OC, Asus RTX 5090 OC, DDR5 64GB @6000MHz, Samsung 9100 NVMe for MSFS2024
