February 17, 20233 yr I am currently using the said version and I've noticed some huge issues with it. The cruise altitude from simbrief does not get picked up correctly. It just sits there at FL58. What's even worse is that I can't override it. No matter what I enter, it just stays at FL58. The whole flight plan gets planned with that altitude, nothing above: Pln Alt At FL058. ATC does clear me to higher altitudes though, usually FL75, FL100, FL120. However, they constantly harass me with "expedite your climb to LF120, despite me being exactly at that altitude with STD pressure. ATC also keeps telling me to reduce speed to 250 knots, even if they cleared me into the flight levels. And there aren't any constraints in the SID or STAR. Edited February 17, 20233 yr by petz_e
February 17, 20233 yr Commercial Member You might want to try doing a fresh install of the full program version 2.6.4.1 and then install the Beta 5h update. Could be the program was somehow corrupted. There's nothing in the code that would assign a cruise altitude of 5800 ft. The speed limit of 250 knots is based on the aircraft's altitude, not the assigned altitude. You can turn off the speed limit warnings in Config, or wait until you pass 10000 feet before speeding up. Dave I removed the whole program and reinstalled it, including the beta. However, I still get strange cruising altitudes that cannot be overwritten or at least changed to what I want it to be. And it looks like it's not related to simbrief only. For example, when I manually enter the route KBOS > KBUF the program suggests F73. If I try to manually enter (FL)300, it gets put to F91 instead. If I try to enter FL(240), it gets put to F79. Very strange. Edited February 17, 20233 yr by petz_e
February 17, 20233 yr Commercial Member Maybe you have the units set to Meters. Set it to Metric/Ft instead. Dave
