March 3, 20233 yr Hello everyone, below are my current PC specs. My computer has done a good job for the last few years, but in times of 4K and MSFS it is no longer up to date. I would be happy if you could give me some tips on how I can finally fly the MSFS and the Fenix smoothly with my 4K monitor. Currently I scaled down to 1280x1080 and on the near lowest settings. Feel free to throw a few modification options in the pot. Money should now be pushed into the background. Please move my Topic to the right subtopic - thanks. Many thanks for your help! March 3, 20233 yr Hi Tim, You already have a very nice system. The one big improvement to be made is video. I went from a RTX2080 to a RTX3090 and saw a massive improvement. I would look at the new RTX4000 series cards and purchase the best one you can afford. A RTX4070 with 12gigs of vram goes for around $800USD this should provide smooth FPS and you may find it not necessary to upgrade any other components. As another example see my specs in my sig below, I can run PMDG at complex scenery all options on ultra and still manage smooth frame rate. Flight Simulator's - Prepar3d V5/MSFS | Operating System - WIN 11 | Main Board - GIGABYTE X870E Aorus Elite WIFI7 | CPU - AMD 9800X3D | RAM - CORSAIR 64GB 6600Mhz | Video Card - EVGA RTX3090 FTW3 Ultra | Monitor - DELL 38" Ultrawide | Case - CORSAIR 750D Full Tower | CPU Cooling - CORSAIR H170i Elite LCD 420mm Push/Pull | Power Supply - EVGA 1000 G+ | Sound System - Definitive Technology ProMonitor 600 w/subwoofer
March 4, 20233 yr I agree, your graphics card is weak. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
