Was the default Bell 407 patched?

Featured Replies

I recall seeing a lot of negative feedback about the flight model. Not sure if Asobo/Nemeth changed anything - anyone using it? How does it fly now?

ASUS MAXIMUS IX CODE Z270, i7-7700K [email protected], EVGA GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, VKBSim Gladiator joystick, CH Pro pedals, Razer Orbweaver Chroma Gaming Keypad, Tobii Eye Tracker, Samsung SSD 850 Pro 512GB (main drive/sim drive), WD Black 1TB HDD

I found the two default helis more convincing than either of the two flyinside models I own.

I honestly would rather wait for additional fine tuning of the ASOBO Rotary flight dynamics.

The Bell 407 does not feel bad at all as it is right now.

It got a lot of tweaking.  Definitely more powerful now and can fly faster but I have an issue where putting my throttle controller to idle doesn’t being the collective all the way down to,idle.  It’s calibrated properly.  Going to try my other throttle controller today just to confirm the issue is with the aircraft.

Expectations are always a bit different from one pilot to another so I understand this. For what it's worth, what feedback I've read/watched from RW pilots is mainly very positive for the FlyInside 206. So subject to some minor imperfections with the the flight model - and the same was said of the Cowan 206 - they're saying it's an accurate simulation.

I have all of about 15 minutes time flying the real thing so take that into account, but personally I'm blown away by just how good the FlyInside 206 is.

Took another spin in the default 407 yesterday with trim etc. switched off and it seems pretty decent. One thing I'm not wild about is that with collective, there's almost no transition between having enough power to stay airborne or starting to descend. That may just be my settings though, who knows.
