Look at the Live option. Bottom left of AI Companion. Filter for the airport you’re located at. That will show inbounds and outbounds only. The status will be enroute initially changing to landing once inside 10nm approximately.

At what point do they disappear? You can double click on any entry and the view will change to that aircraft. Stay with it as long as possible and note the distance it disappears.

The “delete generated files” option is the nuclear one. Any scenery added to the scenery.cfg will be deleted. You’ll have to install them again. I made that mistake in v4. Never again. Hours of work.

Uninstall the Client and reinstall it. Report back.

Hey ray,

So I misspoke about the bunch of arrivals and disappearing. So I wasn’t looking at the live traffic, I was just looking at the listed arrivals but they never appear? On the live traffic I only see 1 or 2 at major airports like lax in about 15-20 minutes.

I did do a client reinstall, and that unfortunately did not fix my issue.

looks like a full reinstall will be needed.

Do this in this order. Uninstall Scenery, then Content and finally Client. Then uninstall the remaining entry which is LM Prepar3D v5.3HF2. Opt to retain your licence.

Then reboot and run setup.exe. That should retain your scenery.cfg and addon.cfg. Make copies to be on the safe side.

Do not run Delete Generated Files unless you’re prepared to reinstall all your scenery. It’s the nuclear option.

Ray,

I am using p3dv4.

So should I handle it the same way?

I wont lose everything if I do it that way?

Dan, no, providing you don't run Delete Generated Files you can do the same. Your airport scenery and aircraft are untouched.

Hey ray,

took your advice and followed reinstalling p3d and it worked like a charm and everything’s back to normal with ai acting normal again.

sorry I didn’t believe you at first, but wow that made it so easy and simple and nothing changed. I was just so scared it wasn’t going to work and I would have to spend hours reinstalling addons, etc.

thanks again so much for your help.

Hi Dan, glad it worked. Another member had the same problem a couple of years ago and he did the same thing.

By making the sim modular LM have made re installation very easy without the need to reinstall all your scenery and aircraft.
