Hey guys,

Over the last month or so, using AIG AI and a mix of my own, I have run into a major issue.

I no longer see any air traffic in flight and when landing, very few if any arrivals land.

Using AIGTC, but I disabled that and am still getting this issue.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

AI is set at 100% as is GA traffic.

I am at a loss.

I've been flight simming for about 20 years now and have never seen this.

No one at AIG seems to know either and I have changed nothing in my sim, it just randomly started happening, specifically after just going through routine AIGTC updates and AIM AIG updates it just happened.

I don't use AIG's automated AI traffic software, so can't help you there.  I do all my AI installs semi-manually using AIFP.

Having said that, disappearing AI traffic is oftentimes caused by a corrupt AI traffic file, or an FS2004 traffic file being used in FSX/P3D.  Just a single corrupt file can shut down all AI traffic.

Yeah I tried that, still nothing.

I have the AIG OCI installer install packages and then I have about 150 of my own bgls.

I did a process of elimination and took out pretty much every single one in my folder and still having the issue.

Airports on the ground with departures are packed like normal, but when I look at the traffic on AIG TC, its like there are no arrivals spawning in to land, maybe 1 every 15-20 minutes, at major airports like KATL, KLAS, this isnt right.

I did a flight earlier this week into BWI, there were ZERO airliners at the gates once 2 SWA departed, thats not correct.

I no longer see ANY AI in the skies when flying at cruise where I used to see some during flight.

I am at the point where I just may do a full P3d reinstall...........

Usually that's not necessary, unless you are bored and have plenty of time.

It could be just a old FS9 traffic file, which will definitely cancel all other traffic. Remember what you may have installed last or run a search with AI Flight Planner.

Maybe it's a setting to reduce AI traffic. Reset all these, there is in FSUIPC and also AIG Traffic Controller.

Do you have AiCompanion? That will show you the status of every Ai within the 80nm bubble in P3D.

Also, AIGTC only handles AIGFP airlines, not BGLs. If you terminate TC it won’t inject any Ai into the sim.

Well, I eliminated all of my own traffic and unless AIG OCI has an old FS9 traffic file that was installed with OCI, which I highly doubt, that cant be the issue.

Setting to reduce AI traffic? I checked FSUIPC but I dont have a registered payware version, only freeware, I dont see anything in there.

AIG TC I have it at 100%

What is your setting in P3D for traffic? It should be 100% for both sliders. Then once you have inbounds you can adjust as necesssary.

FSUIPC can also control traffic limits (paid version only). Just stick to AIG exclusively and set traffic as advised above.

Everything is set at 100% in both AIG TC and in P3d main menu.

Is there a chance FSUIPC payware was set without me touching it?

No. The default is to show all aircraft. Have you installed AiCompanion yet?

Can you recall exactly when the problem started?

It is probable that you did something, installed or changed something, that has caused this problem.

I don't know how AIG's AI traffic software works, but I would triple check everything related to it and also search for where it installs the AI traffic files.  Something may have been corrupted.

Otherwise, I would completely remove AIG's AI traffic software and any/all AI traffic files and then manually install one yourself and see if it works.

If all these things didn't work, yes a quick uninstall/reinstall of the sim, not of all addons, could fix it, in case something in the sim is broken. Don't forget to disable the default ai afterwards. You could start with the client only first. If that does not work, the whole sim or even a repair before, which will be offered at the begin of the uninstall process.

I installed ai companion and see the list of arrivals, however once the time rolls around when they’re supposed to come in, they don’t spawn in and it disappears from the list, it’s almost like p3d won’t spawn them in but I see plenty of arrivals on the list from the tool but yet they don’t ever physically appear in the sim and spawn in and land….

I did a scan with AIFP and there no fs9 traffic files.

aig tc and my p3d settings are all at 100%.
 

I don’t own fsuipc registered version but someone on here said by default it’s set at max.

You did not reinstall Prepar3D so far.

Sometimes this works. Only do the uninstall from Windows Apps and reinstall again not deleting anything. That give no extra work, just the time to let the installer install again.

if that does not help, there's only left to delete generated files. That will reset all .cfg files an rebuild them. Gives a bit more work but should be possible too. Make sure to backup your .cfg first, in case you want your settings back.

They are in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

and C:\Users\...your name...\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4.

You could also use Lorby Addon Manager to create a backup.

In your Prepar3D directory you find "Delete Generated Files", which will just do this and that cures a lot of unsolveble things. But it means some work to add addons again. Mostly the .dll entries are difficult to get back, so the update helps to avoid reinstall of the planes using these.

Look at the Live option. Bottom left of AI Companion. Filter for the airport you’re located at. That will show inbounds and outbounds only. The status will be enroute initially changing to landing once inside 10nm approximately.

At what point do they disappear? You can double click on any entry and the view will change to that aircraft. Stay with it as long as possible and note the distance it disappears.

The “delete generated files” option is the nuclear one. Any scenery added to the scenery.cfg will be deleted. You’ll have to install them again. I made that mistake in v4. Never again. Hours of work.

Uninstall the Client and reinstall it. Report back.
