April 6, 20233 yr I've been using the afore mentioned products for many years, starting FS2004, FSX and FSX-Steam. I control them with a licensed copy of FSUIPC. What experience does anyone have using CH products with MSFS? Thanks in Advance, Jim Driskell James M Driskell, Maj USMC (Ret)
April 18, 20233 yr No recent experience but when MSFS first came out I still had my CH Yoke, Throttle quadrant and pedals. They work fine in MSFS but I cannot remember whether all there are default assignments and if they where satisfactory. You might need to go through the controller settings to check whether they are to your liking. I have replaced them because the potmeters became erratic after over a decade of use. April 23, 20233 yr For the main flight controls, I have a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS throttle and stick always connected with the wonderful Meza mount to hold them to the desktop. https://www.amazon.com/MOUNT-Desk-Mount-Compatible-Thrustmaster-Installation/dp/B08QRCW6SN But I also have a 'Frankenstein CH Pro Throttle" which is a CH Pro Throttle modified by adding 12 flippers on to front. This is exactly like a Pro Throttle + a CH Quad's 12 flippers - a CH Quad's six levers which are not there. A guy on the official CH forums was selling these Frankenstein conversions to alter a CH Pro Throttle. Mine is old but programs perfectly in MSFS and is not erratic, works perfect. I can recommend the CH Pro Throttle and Fighter Stick. Rugged, indestructible, and work fine in MSFS. MSFS will recognize both and by default set them up. You can then alter some or all of those assignments. The CH Quad is lesser quality but is a half decent basic 6 lever quad. I don't recommend the CH pedals. They are only basic quality and the pots wear out and are difficult to change. For the same price Saitek is better, but even those are far from the best. I’ve had mine for over 10 years and they still perform perfectly. CH is better quality than Saitek / Logitech. I can highly recommend the Fulcrum One yoke and I’ve just ordered the Fulcrum Throttle Quadrant. https://fulcrumsim.com Ray (Cheshire, England).
