Flysimware Cessna 414 AP Question

Featured Replies

Question regarding autopilot:

How do you get the ascent autopilot to change the vertical speed its holding? As you can see in my screenshot it’s holding a 1000 fpm rate. However when I roll the ‘pitch’ wheel nothing happens. I assumed it would change the FPM.

I dont actually own the 414 but is it not the case in your screenshot that the AP is off? The Mode Selector panel has AP in amber and beside the pitch wheel you have highlighted, the AP switch on the right seems to be in the off position?

it's following my course and keeping a steady 1000 fpm climb? so i dunno. but I just had a CTD so can't test the theory now *sigh*

Your AP is not engaged.  You need to flip the white rocker switch that is to the right of that pitch wheel you have circled.
