FMC IP address seems to always change?

Featured Replies

Hi gang, I don't know if this is something with my computer or what. I generate the QR code for my PMDG 737-800 Left side FMC and it works perfectly for the flight. I bookmark that to my iPhone Home Screen so I can just tap it for next time. But it seems that each subsequent time I launch in, the previous QR code bookmark is completely blank, and I need to regenerate another one for it to work. Is my IP address changing or something like that? What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like a problem with your phone or the browser on your phone. i suppose it's possible your PC IP address has changed but I don't know how that would blank out the address in the phone bookmark. I would definitely suggest setting a static IP on your PC - makes dealing with remote clients much easier.

I have the same problem. How do I set a static IP for this application to use? Any help gratefully received.

On my router I set a static IP for my computer. I have set static IP for many devices in our house including a networked laser printer. Follow the directions in your router manual for setting static device IP. It's not difficult and takes only a couple minutes to complete.
