Ok,

so setting up rolling cache 10gb and just completed a flight from yssy to ybbn

Flytampa both airports and city.

FSTL AI at default

Yssy completely smooth approaching ybbn

what a stutter fest.while panning

I figured my 7950x3d would handle it.

is it the scenery or I’m running out of cache of 10gb? 🤷‍♂️

thanks

mike

It is not the cache... as a matter of fact, running the cache adds overhead, so you might try it with the cache disabled.

Panning and approaching airports seems to cause stuttering in MSFS (at present).

Lots of users are posting about it.. 😉

Thanks Bert.

but my area is getting an overhaul at

present for internet speed.

so I’m stuck with 60mbps

so I should be using rolling cache?

thanks

I don't know if this is already set for you but make sure "Off-Screen Terrain Pre-Caching" is set to Ultra in settings. If it isn't set to Ultra you will get stutters when panning around, especially when flying into large airports. This setting pre-loads all your sim objects ahead of time so there are no stutters when panning from the cockpit.

This worked for me.
