TDS Boeing 737-800 model will not pitch up (FS9)

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone reading this

I downloaded the TDS Boeing 737-800 model in the Ryanair livery. As I go down the runway normally I usually pull my mouse down to pitch the nose up at around 150kts and the plane will take off. With the TDS 737, I pull my mouse down and the plane will not pitch its nose up no matter how hard I try. The plane then continues down the runway until at about 200kts where it will just glide over the land. Is there anyway I can fix this problem?

Thanks.

Luca

Check that the pitch trim is properly set and the C.G. is within limits.  It's possible to have your C.G. and/or stab trim misconfigured in a way that no amount of elevator will rotate the acft.

Thanks. But how do you do that?

Either use the trim wheel(s) on the throttle console or use your keyboard commands   Pitch Up (Elevator) Numpad2 or Pitch Down Numpad8.  When using the keyboard for up trim, press Numpad2 about 3 or 4 times!

Lucad123144,

Could you please quote your downloaded file name and from where you have downloaded it, so that I can test your problem myself. I will then post my findings in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Even the TDS 737 for FSX did exactly the same thing.  I remember hauling it down runway 19 at KSFO at near 200 knots and breaking through the fencing onto the 101 freeway!  They all needed several notches of up trim on the elevators!

It didn't work. Plus it's just going up really slowly.

This particular one is for FSX and not FS2004/FS9.

Did you post your topic in the wrong forum?

It was the only one that came up and it works but still with the pitch up problem.

Thanks it now works.

I have downloaded the actual 737-800 for FS2004/FS9 after I downloaded the FSX version accidentally and I changed the pitch trim settings to make it rotate better. We can finally say this problem is resolved. Thank you all for helping me!
