Full screen zoom or cockpit zoom, or neither?

Featured Replies

Hi all-

Does MSFS have the capability of separating full screen zoom (with cockpit) into two separate zoom views?

Chaseplane used to be able to adjust either separately, I think.

Please elaborate. There is only one viewpoint and thus zoom works on the whole screen. Do you mean an additional small window with the zoomed in view?

In Chaseplane in P3D, there was a whole screen zoom (as you describe) which included the VC and the view out the front. CP could split the zoom into two components, that is, the whole screen view (.40 was optimal for me) as mentioned above, and just the instrument panel within the whole screen view (in and out). I think this is an aftermarket function as I couldn't find anything in MSFS specifically related to this.

Not that I know of.  But I think you can save views of the cockpit in msfs.  For instance a zoomed up view of the primary instruments or a closeup of the engine gauges.  I don't use those because I fly with TIR or VR.

Thanks Ryan. This I’m sure this is doable in MSFS. I’ll find the resources that explain how to do it and go from there. BTW, I bought the 414. Those engine sounds are something else. 🤗
