Acceleration and Carrier Ops

Featured Replies

Hi all,First, let me state I'm glad that, with Accelleration, MS finally decided to make Carrier Operations an integral part of FS; allthough I'm a bit disappointed that, for FSX, it's available only in a payware addon. So I can safely move on from my own (freeware) COP package towards other interresting developments for FS :-)Without a doubt, I expect that Carrier Operations in Acceleration will give a more sophisticated experiance then my own COP package, if only because things like catapults and arrester gear now are functionally part of the aircraft carrier itself (as it should be).So, having a hugh interrest in this subject, I can't wait to try it out fully.I can only hope that this is a first step towards integration of other military applications into the mainstream FS.Allthough I realise that's a personal opinion, since I know that some of you (based on many posts in the past) don't agree with adding military stuff to a (up to now) civilian flightsimulator. Regards, Rob Barendregt

Hi Rob,>So, having a hugh interrest in this subject, I can't wait to try it out fully. Please report on your experience here. And, in case I haven't said it before, Thanks for your contributions to our hobby.R-

Whoa....Rob, the Rob Barendregt of the COP3 gauge package fame???!Please allow me to share my thanks to YOU as well!!! Been enjoying the ever-lovin' SNOT out of your carrier gauge package! As a matter of fact, and knowing that nothing says "thanks" better than some screenies, it was a recent topic of conversation at my home site so here's a link where you can go see and read about one more "customer" enjoying your work (a little farther down - there are a LOT of screenies in this thread....)http://com-central.net/index.php?name=Foru...iewtopic&t=7710What started out as a simple question led to a voyage of discovery that culminated in your COP3 gauge package and EXTREMELY wicked effects and sounds!:-beerchug Erich

Rob, I know a lot of users love your stuff. I would love to see what you can do to improve on our implementation of the carrier.Take a look and see if there are any opportunities there. Or maybe you could create a trapeze on a dirigible and catch or launch Sparrowhawks... That would be cool.

Rob,Thank you for your contribution to this.. I get a kick out of carrier landings using your work. Amazing. Thanks again.Manny
