I screwed my user config file somehow and I cannot load any aircraft only the last one before something happened. I tried renaming it and let it generate a new one but the same thing any ideas?

If you're talking about the usercfg.opt file, edit it with Notepad++ (or other editor) and make sure the last line contains the correct path for the folder containing both community folder and official folder. 

In my case it's this: InstalledPackagesPath "G:\Games\MSFS2020"

Did it fix it?

What think happened was I turned the read file only tick. And it also applied to other files. I unticked read only and applied. It fixed it but not ideal

Why would you make that file read only? Mine is not ticked and never had any problem. I even changed the sharpen value there and it sticks, no need for read only.

I was told that it would change the settings back..?

Never changed mine.

I always have the precaution of saving a bkp copy of that file
