June 13, 20232 yr Having switched off the local firewall etc, tested the server connection, creating a Flight1 account and entering my details I was unable to get a Paypal screen to pop. Tried 3 different browsers...same. So I used a credit card which popped a screen saying connecting to server and then immediately disappeared so I was unable to read anything else. I'm now present with the Click Here For Secure Purchase button again.....which I don't want to press in case I get billed twice. Anyone else had something similar? All suggestions welcomed.
June 13, 20232 yr Probably best to go to the Flight1 forums and ask there, or better, open up a support ticket with them. August 25, 20232 yr I had exactly the same problem. I kept trying and it eventually worked on the third or fourth attempt. Their storefront and purchasing software reminds me of something from the 1990’s and the early days of the internet. That and the difficulty it completing a purchase made me start to question whether this was going to be quality product and whether I should bother to continue. Now that I have it working all I can say is it is in fact quite nice and a HUGE improvement over the default XP12 version. I had never used a GNS530 until just recently. I was trying to use the XP12 default version and I became very suspicious that the real product couldn’t possibly be that quirky and bug ridden, or real airplanes would literally be falling out of the sky. Once I got RealityXP working it was like a breath of fresh air. Everything works perfectly as best I can tell so far. The process of building flight plans now works just like it is supposed to. With the default XP12 version, it would sometimes insert an extraneous waypoint into my SID 6000 miles away!! Or it would try to immediately return me back to the departure airport and never activate the first leg. Just a few of the problems I had. None of that has happened so far with the RealityXP version. It just works. Pro-Sim A320 and MSFS 2024
