June 19, 20232 yr Like most of us, I suppose, I have a graphic glitch when pieces of vegetation have a water body behind them. The edge of the vegetation becomes translucent. Do the 40XX cards correct it ? June 19, 20232 yr No, unfortunately not. I've seen it with a 4080 as well. Difficult to understand why what seems an alpha transparency bug has not been solved. They seem to care about grand issues but neglect the many little things which also make a sim an enjoyable experience. How on earth they don't see this and attempt to fix it baffles me when they put so much effort into other things. Apparently some of it is down to "screen space reflections" which would need to be fixed by ray-tracing, but I don't see it in other titles. I hoped DX12 would fix it, but apparently MSFS it is running DX12 inside a wrapper, so it isn't fully fledged DX12 yet. That is probably why we see very little performance increase in DX12 as well. Other than WT working their magic, other things seem to be a bit of a half-assed attempt sometimes. I am really hoping things like this can be fixed in MSFS2024. The horizon line bug is another one but it doesn't seem to bother me that much these days compared to the other graphical issues. Edit: Flickering shadows is another one, which can be fixed in the main by a simple edit to the user config with virtually no performance impact, so why not implement it as standard?
