P2atc and the CJ4

Featured Replies

Dave, I cannot get p2atc(2.6.4.1) to connect with CJ4. I have looked everywhere for tutorials that will solve this problem but nothing is working. Could you possibly give me the proper sequence of getting the whole thing to work.

I using updated windows 10 to windows 11. I will tell you what my approach has been so you can get some idea of what i am missing.

1. Make plan from Simbrief, copy wp's and Dep and arr airports in import box, ( 2. Import that, add sid, add star, add arr. review details at top. (3. Validate, (4. Export to sim  (5. Open sim (and fsuipc automatically) load exported plan from file, parked engine off. (6. Here I

have tried both connecting to aircraft unpowered and powered what do you think so far?

When Pilot2ATC connects, there will be 3 lines in the Speech Text Window at the bottom right and the Connect button will turn green and the text will change to Connected.  The last line in the Speech Text Window will be "Grammars Loaded" and the Yellow aircraft representing your aircraft will be visible on the map.
.
“Simulator Disconnected” will appear on the second press of the Connect button as it disconnects from the SIM.

Assuming you are running P2A on the same machine as X-Plane, check the version of XPUIPC.
You should have either version 2.0.0.0 from the site in the User’s Guide, or version 2.0.3.8 from Shirattie.com
http://www.schiratti.com/xpuipc.html

If you have XPUIPC correctly installed and running as Administrator doesn't work, here are some other things to check/try:

  • Be sure the SIM is fully up and running and not paused before you try to connect.  The cockpit must be showing.
  •  Be sure you are connected to the internet. It must be a reliable connection.
  • English-US Language installed and set as Primary Language, English Speech Recognition installed also.
  • Working Microphone installed and set as Default Sound Input device in Windows
  •  Valid Call Sign – Try using the default call sign of Mfg: Beech; Tail Number: N431VB.  Press the Save button.
  •  If connected but the radios aren’t working, check the Battery and Avionics switches on or the “Ignore battery” and “Ignore Avionics” options are checked in P2A Config
  • If it seems to partially connect but the Connect button does not turn Green, set the Weather option to a different source such as NOAA Real Time Weather and try again.
  •  If still won't fully connect, try deleting the AppConfig.xml file.  You will lose your Config settings, but some users have reported that this fixed their connection issue.  The file is located at:

           c:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings\AppConfig.xml

where <UserName> is your PC user name.  Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show                   Hidden Items checked in the View tab.

Reading this thread, aren’t we talking MSFS?  I start FSUIPC and plug in to CJ4.  How can I help?
