Voxatc and P3D v6

Recommended Posts

I have not tested it.

I messaged the developer and was informed that it would be updated and compatibility for V6 will be done.

However for v6 users this will not be until MSFS is done and not too expect it until sometime next year.

Hello

At the moment we are concentrating on finishing the MSFS version of VoxATC. When that is done we'll update the P3d versions and support V6. It will not be before the end of 2023 though.

Regards

OK, I just decided to try it.

It works, traffic was injected and I got ATIS, clearance and cleared for push back.

That is were I stopped.

So as far as I can tell it works, at least up to there.

Update,

AI taxi seems broken, still testing as it could be a payware airport issue

Update 2,

Ok as far as I can tell the AI grounds ops are broken.

AI will do all radio calls all the way up to pushback, aircraft will push back then stop.

Ai aircraft will land, go to the end of the runway and stop.

So not sure what the issue is there.

I am thinking of just using the traffic settings in P3d, having 0 set in vox and just using it for my coms to atc, with P3d voice in the background.

Not perfect, but maybe a compromise until it if officially released.

Otherwise PRO ATC X it is.

How did you get this to work with P3Dv6?

It won't install on my system unless I have P3Dv5 installed and even with the registry trick it only reads the V5 sceneries and I don't see the addon in V6

Thanks

I did the reg trick, then when I ran the indexer I renamed the v6 folders to v5 and changed the v5 folders to something else.

Ah-very clever thanks!

That thought crossed my mind but I was too timid to try!

I'm off to try this now!

The indexer gets stuck at the weather themes folder-maybe because I have Activesky 6 installed-so it's not working at the moment

I have ASv6 installed as well.

Wasn't that an issue before? I am sure I had it happen to me in v5

Maybe search this forum for a clue.

Ok I've found the thread-it suggests disabling the top addon in the sim.

Thanks I'm experimenting now!

@jkeye @anzac1977

following your "experiments" with interest.🤔

i assume you are trialling V6 stock airports alongside "traffic----".bgl's that worked in V5.

when you index, did you see any oddities in the err.log file.

& i guess the other question is do the same traffic.bgl's work with the sim's AI controller.

i also ask if the *.dat* files compiled are similar (size) to V5 ones.

for now, cheers

I am using payware and stock airports with AIG that worked in v5.

Does vox atc store data somewhere other than the install folder? Edit - nevermind I found them.

I really have no idea and just did this cause why not lol.

I did a flight cyvr to mmun and used vox with not traffic settings and P3d doing its own thing.

Of course it was a mess with AI, but I could interact with vox atc the whole flight and it also does do the taxi guidance lines.
