I just purchased a new game computer w/ i7 12th generation processor, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB.

Reinstalling MSFS 2020, checking FPS it seems to be locked at 20 FPS.  But there are other numbers, GPU seems to peak at 30% usage.

MSFS ran on my old I5 6800 Nvidia 8GB 32GB at 25-35 FPS.

I am not sure how to interpret what is going on.  I don’t have any stuttering, but was expecting to have much higher FPS.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

If it's locked at 20 it will stay there.

Just run unlimited fps and start playing with settings.  Things like Terrain LOD will really tax your CPU.  But with a 12700 or whatever you have you can easily run 200.  I would try the HIGH preset and raise a few settings from there.  What resolution is your monitor?
