July 18, 20232 yr I'm trying to assign the Heading Bug in the C172 to a knob on the XTouch Mini. I want to turn the knob CW to increase the bug heading and CCW to decrease. But it is not behaving as the assignments call for. The actual behavior is something like this: Turn knob slowly: One assignment lights up and Bug goes opposite direction of knob assignment, Turn knob fast: Both inc and dec assignments light up and conflict with each other so the bug just wobbles in place. Any ideas how to get this working?
July 18, 20232 yr The assignments could be reversed, but strange both activate when turned quickly. Have you tried a different rotary in case the one in question is playing up?

July 19, 20232 yr Author I had the XTouch in MC mode. That does not work. It has to be in Standard mode. Problem solved. Thank you.

MC mode is working too with AAO, but differently. The device sends different events in that mode, but otherwise it is pretty much the same. Some developers force the XT into MC mode for their scripts to work (for example the X-Touch Gauge). If you want to try a hardware reset, you can do that with a button combo: Quote: Quote Press and hold both LAYER buttons, A and B, on the right side of the device. Plug-in the device while still keeping down the two layer buttons. Keep holding down the buttons for a few seconds, the buttons will flash a few times. When only the layer A button is illuminated, the reset is complete. Edited July 19, 20232 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
