More rural delights - EGH2

Featured Replies

I took the Wilga out again, and was just looking around on the worldmap to see where I fancied checking out next. Looking for small, isolated farm type strips. Spotted EGH2 up near Doncaster and thought I'd try it out. Looked really nice, and was obviously either free or payware (rather than default), but the odd thing was I had no record of it on my spreadsheet. Which would mean I'd grabbed it but not documented it, and that is pretty much unheard of as I have to be fairly meticulous with such things as I have so many addons (literally thousands). So I checked my scenery folders for it. And nothing there either. So now I'm really intrigued.

Long story short, it turned out to be an airstrip supplied as part of the Got Friends "Wilga" package that I happened to be using for the flight. The actual scenery files are in a sub-folder of the actual Wilga aircraft folder. So if you load the Wilga via the addons linker it brings in EGH2 automatically!

And very fine it is too. I seem to be having a little burst of exploring these sort of places now, after having been playing with big tubes in XP for a few days, and it's great to have this sort of variety available.

If this looks appealing to you, I notice Got Friends have got the Wilga on sale right now - don't know how long for but check it out - https://www.got-friends.com/products/pzl-104-wilga-35-80-series

So not much flying here, pretty much just an exploration of the scenery package. And as we peek over the hedge, there's the Wilga in what is apparently her home base

This next one really needs to be viewed full screen on a big monitor, as the thing that I was taken with are the two butterflies (yes, those are not birds). They are beautifully drawn and flutter perfectly across the scene.
