Engine heat shimmer effect

I'm looking for engine heat shimmer effect for the FSX 747-400.I see they have it in the AVSIM Library for FS9.Will it work in FSX?

I'm amazed this feature is not built into FSX. Anybody know why not?I really like the way it looks in LOMAC and how it goes away once you get your speed up.
