August 16, 20232 yr i am using windows 11 64 bit and updated ( core i5 G15 with NVidia G-force RTX 3050) I Installed FSX and got error fs cannot run because the version on Microsoft direct x (r) installed on your computer incompatible. please reinstall direct x 9.0 by running fs setup or download the current version need all your help please, it is my first attempt to fly FSX

That unified installer should install side-by-side libraries for every version of DirectX. Did you reboot your PC after running the DirectX installer? I'm pretty sure that's needed even if not explicitly directed after the install. If that doesn't work, I'd suspect an antivirus or antimalware program interfering with the DX installer. Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
