August 18, 20232 yr Really odd goings on whenever I try to start P3dv5.4. I double click the desktop icon and the entry logo appears which usually then goes to the default scenario I have saved. But now I get the logo and it quickly repeats itself...then to the default scenario and I see the progress bar loading...then I'm back on my destop. The only way to get out of the sim is to open the 'task mngr'.....where I see "P3Dv5.4" (2) From there the only option I know will fix the problem is to go to the 'Delete Generated Files"....which works....but I loose all my settings. I have 'error reporting' checked....but have only seen 1 error "cannot find CIGI.dll in the root" Any help would be welcome !! Thanks Skip d

(i.e. [yourpath]\Prepar3D v5\CIGI.dll) Are the registry key paths correctly set for the path where P3D is installed ? There will be paths in HKLM and HKCU, e.g. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 SetupPath REG_SZ [yourpath]\Prepar3D v5 Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 AppPath REG_SZ [yourpath]\Prepar3D v5 Cheers Ryzen 5800X clocked to 4.7 Ghz (SMT off), 32 GB ram, Samsung 1 x 1 TB NVMe 970, 2 x 1 TB SSD 850 Pro raided, Asus Tuf 3080Ti P3D 4.5.14, Orbx Global, Vector and more, lotsa planes too. I find ...Lockheed Martin HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\P3dv2 """" " " " " P3dv3 " " " " " P3dv4 " " " " " P3dv5 clicking on v5...I get the app path/value data to be the correct path. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next entry below SOFTWARE is Lockheed Martin/Prepar3d which brings up in the right panel....(default) REG_SZ SimConnect_PORT iPv4 REG SZ SimConnect_PORT IPv6 REG SZ Is this correct????...I won't touch anything without advice. August 23, 20232 yr Hey @skip d, Yeah looks good, looks like you've had multiple version of P3D installed (as each version will add it's own registry keys). Ports are nothing to worry about. What about the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry keys ?
